Summary: The authors of this descriptive study aimed to analyse the therapeutic gap for Trypanosoma cruzi infection (the number of people with confirmed infection who require treatment but do not receive it) in Colombia from 2012 to 2022. Data from official National and Departmental databases were analysed using two scenarios, in which antiparasitic treatment was indicated in 70% or 85% of people with confirmed infection. In 2012, in the 70% scenario, the therapeutic gap was 77.5%; by 2022, this had decreased to 48.1%. Linear projections from 2014-2022 indicate a potential reduction to 13.7% by 2030. However, there are differences in the reductions observed in different departments. Implementing interventions to reduce the therapeutic gap will help to improve Chagas disease control.
